Haiku and Healing

We are icons (images) of the Divine heart, created out of love, whole and beautiful.  Life from time to time clouds over our image. But this is not the end, not left on the trash heap of society.  We can seek healing, a new life, a new direction.

There are many healing modalities that can bring this healing, this new life, this new direction. Here I offer haiku poetry.

Haiku is a snapshot, a word picture of the present moment.  We start with the moment new find ourselves, where we are, a word picture. As we reflect and write our first haiku new word pictures  lead to new insights and new haiku until we come to  a moment of healing.  This last haiku brings iy to a new snapshot, new word picture and thus healing a new life, new direction.

The number of haiku is not important. What is that we go with each new thought until we each that healing new moment.

Here are some samples of haiku that may help you to get started writing and healing. From time to time there will be new samples.

LIstening, fathom

gathering hurts - nurturing.

Joyful angels sing.

You are beautiful.

Created from Light and Love -

a new creation.

Created, gifted,

yet robbed, hurt, wounded of self.

Angels still sing you.

Come to the pools - look.

Peer deep in Silence"s love.

Behold your beauty.

Silence rebirths you.

Fresh, clean, your new day dawning.

Go forth - live new life.

Darkning, waiting days

seeds lay dormant in patience

Our lives are sown seeds.

Our lives of fullness

rich wombs of patient waiting

Advent lives growing

Winter of waiting

browsing, musing, planning now

Summer of growth awaits.

Spring time sowing growth

soils prepared to receive

more patient waiting.

Waiting slowly, growth

looking for signs of seedlings

Hoping for new signs

Advent, winter, spring

patient waiting for new growth

New seasons coming

Healing, birthing time.

Long dark seasons into light

green growth from waiting.
